Bliss
Creek Outfitters
adds another unique and exciting
school to
life - Wrangler School. In
this school, YOU have the
ultimate advantage. Wrangler
School is one-on-one training
with John Lyons Certified Trainer,
Tim Doud. Tim has successfully
trained horses and mules for
his outfitting business and
for outside clients for nearly
15 years. Tim specializes in
mule training and is the first
person to ever complete the
John Lyons Certification Program
using only Mules.
You will spend
four-weeks one-on-one with Tim learning everything
you need to know about wrangling for a hunting
camp
or working-ranch. Like our Private Guide Training,
in this school you have the ultimate advantage.
First
you
will be the only student in class. Next,
the class is often held at times when clients are
present. Therefore, you can practice in a real-life
setting. Learn horsemanship, shoeing, packing,
catching horses, saddling for you and clients,
and even training horses and mules. Remember,
whatever Tim is doing for the day, week or month
of your school, whether it be training mules or
wrangling you will
work along side him and along the way, he will
teach you what you need to know to be a successful
wrangler.
This school also
gives you the student responsibility from day one.
We expect our students to be an active part of
their education. Willingness to ask questions,
willingness to be active in the maintenance of
your camp or classroom by keeping it clean. Participation
in your day to day education is essential to your
success. If you have the
desire to learn more about training horses and
mules, that is what your
class will consist of - Training. Or, if you have the
desire to learn more about shoeing, then that is
what we will work on.
The biggest difference
between our Guide and Wrangler schools is the time
you spend with the horses and mules. During our
wrangler school, your time is spent learning the
ins and outs of horse and mule care, riding, training
and so on. You have the option to learn how to
start a young mule and learn how to put the first
ride on a youngster. You also have the option to
work with "problem" mules or horses and learn how
to fix these problems from a John Lyons Certified
Trainer, Tim Doud!
"Personalized
Wrangler School" is
the ultimate in wrangler training and is held
in January, February. March, May, August,
September, October, November and
December. Cost of the class is $1,525.00 per
week - $6,200.00 for the
four week school. Remember, there
is
only one student per class, YOU!
Some
of the material covered during your class is as
follows. Bliss Creek Outfitters reserves the right
to alter the curriculum as needed.
